What is the ´Bids quota´ in the auction page?

Each auctioned item has a 'Bids quota', the required amount of bids necessary to close the auction.

What is the "Countdown timer" in the auction page?
Each auctioned item has a countdown timer, this indicates the amount of time left for this item.
The countdown timer is restarted if the bids quota has not been reached .

What is a ´Free Bid´ for an auction ?
If you received a free bid for a certain auction, you will see the words 'free bid' written under your bid. Above your bid it will be written 'bid cost 0'. To see if you are entitled for a free bid or put it into action, you must be logged in with your user name.

What is a ´Half Price Bid´?

Half Price Bids, your first few bids on most auctions will be half price, this means you only pay half the price of the original bid. You will see the bids cost will be halved when you are entitled to these bids. A pop up will inform you how many half price bids you have, also on the green tool bar it is indicate.

What is the ´Bid Cost´ in the auction page?
Bid cost will be visible when logged in, the ´Bid Cost´ shows the standard bid cost with no calculated discount.
However, there might be some discounts attached to a certain auction or to a certain user once he is logged in. In these scenarios, the bid cost will show the calculated cost with all discounts attached.

What are ´Gift Icons´?

Gift icons appear where an auction offers you free bids or other specified gifts. The gift icon can be visible on the bids button on the homepage.

What is ´Hot Auction/Closing Soon´?
An Auction that is near its required quota, and the countdown timer is running out. It is still possible to place more bids.

What is ´Auction Closing´?
An auction that has reached its required quota, and will end when the countdown timer ends. It is still possible to place more bids.
 

What is ´Auction Closing Today´?
An auction that has reached its required quota and will end when the countdown timer ends on the same day. It is still possible to place more bids.

What is ´Auction Closing Now´?
An auction that has reached its quota and will close when the countdown timer ends in the next 2 hours. It is still possible to place more bids.

What is ´Max Price´ of an auction?
The highest value that can be offered in an auction. Our system wil not accept higher bids than the maximum price.
For example, if the Max. price in an auction is £39 then 39.01 and higher bids will not be accepted.

How will I know when the auction ends?

An auction will end when the Bids Quota and Countdown timer both reach “0”. The Auction will be marked “CLOSED”.

If the Bids Quota has not been reached, the countdown timer will reset itself and the auction will continue.

How will I know if I´ve won?
Once the auction has reached its bid quota and the countdown timer has ended, the highest bid, located in 1st position, is the winning bid.
You will receive an e-mail notifying you that you have won the auction.

I won a product, what happens next?

Winners will have 3 choices:
 “Cash It” - each auction has a cash value, a cheque will be sent to you.
“Convert” – convert the value of the product to monies into your BiDWiZ account
“Pay” – pay for the product your winning bid amount, and receive the product.
Bidwiz Vouchers can only be converted to your Bidwiz account.

Why do you request verification?
Verification is requested to ensure that the product is sent to the winners correct address.

When does the auction close?

Auction close when the “Bids Quota” and “Countdown Timer” reach “0”.

How will I know when my auction is closing?

You will receive an e-mail or SMS message informing you that the auction is closing shortly. Please note that you will need to provide a mobile number to receive this message.

When do new auctions open?

Auctions with popular products will reopen straight after the previous one closes. By joining our Facebook or agreeing to receive our newsletters, you will be updated with all the new auctions and products.

Can I place more than one bid?

Placing more than one bid is recommended, as it will increase your chances of winning the auction. Also By doing this you will have an indication where your bids stand against other bids.

What is a ´Unique´ bid?

A bid of a value offered by a sole bidder.
At the end of the auction, the highest unique bid nearest the Max Price wins the auction.

What is a ´Non-Unique´ bid?
A bid with a value that was offered by more than one user.
A non unique bid does not have a position in the bids table, does not compete, and cannot win the auction.

What is a ´Ruled Out´ bid?
A bid is ruled out of the auction if one of the following applies:
- The bid is positioned 4th in a row of the same bidder
- The bid is the 10th bid of the same bidder, that is positioned in the top 50. 
A ruled out bid does not have a position in the bids table, does not compete, and cannot win the auction.

What happens if I select the same bid twice?

If you accidentally duplicate a bid, your original bid will not be cancelled, and you will not be charged for the second bid.

What happens if I select the same bid as someone else?
If you select the same bid as someone else, your bid will cancel out theirs. You will be charged for this bid, however, this can, if used right, help to insure you win the auction.

What happens if someone else selects the same bid as me?

Unfortunately, 2 bids that are the same, rule each other out and no other user can use that value in the auction.
Therefore you should re-bid, with a new unique bid entry.

 

Can I change my mind once I have placed a bid?

No, Once you have placed your bid it will affect the order of the other participant’s bids in the auction and becomes irreversible. Please remember that you will be charged for this bid

Will I be charged for each bid?

Yes, each bid you place has a participation fees, the cost of a bid is indicated on the left hand side below the countdown clock when you enter an auction. 

How can I pay for the products?

Paying for the products can be done by using a valid credit/debit card, e-wallet, Ukash or by PayPal. 

How do I pay for bidding?

You will be required to purchase a Bids Bank to pay for your bidding. The higher the Bids Bank, the more bonus you will receive.
Each bid you place will be charged a participation fee.

 

How secure are your payment methods?

We take your privacy and your security very seriously.
We use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol to secure every bit of data you provide us.
We do not store any financial details you supply.

What happens if I don’t have a credit card?

Your credit card details are used for verification and to purchase the winning product. All winning products will be sent to the card addressee. To purchase a Bid Bank, you can use any major credit/debit card, PayPal or Ukash (which can be brought from most convenience store)
 

Do I pay for delivery?

What happens if my product arrives damaged?
Should you receive a faulty or damaged product, please inform our customer services team immediately. They will be happy to assist you and guide you through the procedure of repairing or replacing your product.

How long until I receive my product?
Your win will be processed as soon as payment is made, then the winning item will be sent to you as stated in the auction. Please click here for delivery times

How do I change my password or details?

To change your password all you need to do is the following:
1. Login
2. Click on 'My account'
3. Change your password or details remember to click 'Save Details' before login out.

What can I do if I forgot my user name or my password?

If you remember the email address you´ve registered with, use the ´Forgot Password´ link. Your user name and password will be sent to this email address.
However, if you forgot the email address, you´ll have to contact our customer service.

How do I subscribe or unsubscribe from receiving BiDWiZ notifications, promotions and auction news?

Login, Go to´Account Details´.
Check, or un-check, the box 'Please keep me informed on the latest BiDWiZ auctions news and updates', remember to 'Save Details' and you´re done.

How do I change my personal details?

First, login to the system.
Then go to ´Change account details´ and change any detail you wish. You may be required to send our support team evidence.

How do I check my credit?

Login to the system.
Go to ´My Credit´, where you can find your credit status in details.

How do I delete or cancel my account?

If you have bids participating in auctions, you cannot delete or cancel your account until the auction ends. To delete or cancel an account please send an e-mail to support@bidwiz.co.uk, alternatively go to customer services and fill in the form.
If you have funds in the account, please go to 'Refund'.

Can I open more than 1 account?

No. Please note that participating with more than 1 account, can lead to your account permanently banned and any wins revoked.

Are all products original?
All our products are brand new and in their original packaging.

Do the products come with a guarantee?
All products come with a full manufacturer’s or supplier’s guarantee.

Is there an age limit for participating in the auction?

Yes.
You have to be 18 or over, and have an e-mail address to participate.

Why do you need my credit card details for free bids?

Your credit card details are used for verification and when you win the auction. Free bids are not charged. All bids are charged according to the specified amount.

Can I get a refund?
Refunds will only be issued if none of the funds or any bonuses you received in your Bidwiz account have been used to participate in any auctions.
